I was talking to my father regarding singnet's prepaid card & the hot 100 offer. He seemingly discouraged the use of it citing that the number can't be carried forward to a mobile plan should i decide to get one.

Haha, for crying out loud. The 6300 manual doesn't even the information as to how long i should initially charge my battery. Forums claim 10 hours. I've done 12.
