I'm still annoyed at myself for lacking the discipline to sleep early. I dislike such nights where I stay up late taking things slowly as more tasks pile up. Anyway while waiting for my hair to dry before hitting the sack, I decided to post the photos taken during the MacRitchie to Bukit Timah trek.

We started off at MacRitchie reservoir at 11 on Tuesday. Rained a little initially, but it soon cleared up. We hit Jelutong Tower, the Tree Top Trail & Rifle Range Road. Then having accidently deviated off the Bukit Timah trail, we had late lunch somewhere opposite Beauty World.

Nasir left after that while the rest of us trudged on to where Kamal told us was a nice clearing with rocky cliffs.

Our first monitor lizard; probably still warming up.

We met some tortoises too; they were cute.

Me & Kamal on Jelutong Tower.

Nasir & Boon Kin at our previous spot.

There was a rabutan tree by the tower.

We saw a perfectly symmetrical fern looking plant which Kamal said was a zipper plant.

Nearing Rifle Range Road, we saw this & proceeded to explore.

Nasir & Kamal made the jump while I considered my options & success rate.

Finding no easier way, I finally decided to leap over in similar style. I had serious doubts about making it across & I risked broken shin bones in my worst scenario. I don't usually take such risks where I have low confidence in my success rates.

I ended up with a scrapped right shin. My left feet made it, but apparently I didn't know how to bring my other feet up. So it went straight into the concrete embankment. Stupidly, I didn't do much on the other side.

After deviating from the trail, we stumbled upon the railway track.

Our final destination; we discovered some facts about flies too.
