I left early today for toa payoh. Walked around the area, looking at M1 phone deals & silver duct tape. Eventually found myself at the library. I went up.

For the first time in 3 years, i stepped up to level 3 of that library. Lots of memories there. What greeted me was not the smell of paper that i've come to enjoy, but the smell of chemicals.

I went among the shelves, it was unfortunate they didn't carry Animorphs. What's there was only Everworld. Anyway, my memory was refreshed. The table seats & the seats with tables. I looked around, my juniors mugging, my seniors (adults actually) reading & using laptops.

I half expected to find Melissa at a table only to realize she won't be mugging for O'Levels there any longer. She's the first stranger whose number i asked for. I've pretty much forgotten about her till then. Her expression when i asked for her number just as she was about to leave, was that of stress & panic. She turned to look at her friends walking off, turned back to look at me, told me her number & ran off.

Then i remembered the guys in her life. Nameless people to Guo Hwee & i. Nevertheless, their uniforms carried enough weight to crush our morales. RI with RGS girls was a perfectly understandable thing.

Met up with Rina later on. Went to far east for lunch before going to wheelock's place & tanglin mall. The latter's under partial renovation. Had a chat there.

I really enjoy those talks, you know.

Tired, we took a bus back down to shaw house. Her nose was sharp to smell rain coming at tanglin. Too true to her word, it rained heavily where we alighted. Rina & her jacket looking blouse with a hood. Haha.

Later went to ngee ann for dinner. Omu rice. Not too bad, just that the rice was cooled & some of it hardened before it was reheated briefly. With heavy feet, we walked to a bench at wisma. Chatted & watched people before heading to her bus stop. Next bus was 33 minutes away. Useful huh. The time board only adds this much value to the service.

Anyway, we took a seat & chatted some more till her bus arrived. Thankfully, there was plenty of seats onboard. It was good bye there.
